Week 31

I was about to get another gout flare-up BUT…I was able to suppress it. How?

Drank a lot of water. A gallon of water. Surprisingly it works. Yea it shouldn’t be a surprise but a lot of times, when people say, “drink lots of water”, they don’t really define how much is “lots”.

But yea, a gallon is what you need for someone who is about 135 lbs.

I tried to get back to MSPainting this weekend and realized that I don’t really have the “passion” for it. How so?

I found myself struggling to come up with a design that I’m happy with. One would say, “Avoid perfectionism!”, because a lot of times, no one will notice my struggle. But the truth is, when I look at what I finished, it feels like something is missing – without fully understanding what that missing thing is.

Sounds confusing? Exactly. Welcome to my world 🙂

I’ve been taking cold showers without a stopwatch for about a month now.

Whenever I’m in it, it feels like I can last longer as if I can stay there forever. I’m not saying it’s not uncomfortable but I feel like I can last in there longer. I’d say about 5-minutes.

This week I found my stopwatch and tracked how long I can really handle cold showers. I go in there, bathe in the cold shower, and turned the water off when it felt like I’d reached about 3-minutes. Checked the actual time on my stopwatch and it says 1:45-minutes!

Perception versus reality — if you work in a vacuum (doing things by yourself without acquiring actual feedback), you put yourself into an illusion that ends up delaying your progress.

A Year Ago This Week

Work is no longer a stressor for me because I’m caught up.

However, this year, I’m still busy *sigh* serenity now!
