I signed up for a free trial to learn more about copywriting.

Why? Well, you can make big bucks from it —working for clients and all that. However, just like any skill, it takes a lot of time and practice to make you “client-worthy”. I’m a little overwhelmed with the amount of studying I need to do to get there. This makes me wonder, “Is this going to be another one of those programs I buy but don’t take me anywhere?”

I don’t know the answer at this point but what I know is that I need to get better at writing content.

It’s Week 4 of learning Storytelling with the Night Owl Nation Group.

So far, I feel like I’m getting better at writing “Hooks”. That means, grabbing the reader’s attention. Because, y’know, a good article goes to waste if it doesn’t grab attention.

I haven’t posted my stuff in public just yet but they will be posted on Medium in the future.

Speaking of Medium, I’m gonna start looking into sharing more of my articles on Facebook.

This weekly article I write every Sunday is just a whatever/freestyle writing that doesn’t require a lot of thinking. The ones I write on Medium are much different (in terms of quality) because it is submitted to publications with gatekeepers.

Copywriting, writing, reading, journaling, browsing the net, playing video games and watching anime— are things I like to do on top of caring for my son.

I have to admit. I feel more like a dad this time than when I was with my daughter. Probably because I’m on parental leave — my son gets a lot of my attention. That wasn’t the case with my daughter back then because I kept working. You know how it is with bills and inflation and all that.

I’m just glad that our finances are in much better shape this time than 3 years ago. Kudos to Reyvi for that.
