Week 11

The last time I was in Boracay was back in…I can’t remember. I’d say more than 10 years ago. Here’s what I learned from our trip this week:

  1. Algae comes and goes. There’s really no way of predicting it.
  2. Checking in at the airport on the way can be a headache.
  3. Lexi loves to play in the sand.

Travelling with kids may be more tiring, but just watching them enjoy the simplest things in life is what makes it fun.

I was fascinated by the possibility of ancient civilizations.

This is what I realized as I’m listening to Ben Van Kerkwyk discuss with my favourite comedians how inaccurate our first realizations about the pyramids are. Why was I so fascinated?

Just realizing how much we don’t know.

This emphasizes the fact that whatever I know today is limited by the knowledge that has been passed to me from the past.

***

I’ve seen You People (just cuz it was in Flagrant).

However, I didn’t find it to be that funny. It had a slow start…and an ok end.

A Year Ago This Week

  • got myself checked and my uric acid levels were “normal”.
  • downloaded Inkscape. *but never got to learn how to use it lol. I wrote instead.
  • tried out the writing templates from Typeshare.
