Week 12

I’m reminded of what I used to consider “normal” hot summer weather.

It feels like you’re living inside a sauna! You’re sweating 24/7. You feel sticky.

That’s the kind of hot weather you’re going to get when you’re in Southeast Asia.

Lexi was not scared of roller coasters as I was!

The faster the ride is, the more fun it is for her. She gets bored of the Merry-Go-Round and Ferris Wheel (my type of “ride”). I’m glad she and her mom are the same regarding “extreme” rides.

Otherwise, I’d be forced to ride with her.

P.S. We were in Enchanted Kingdom.

We spent the day at the sandbar in Calatagan.

I thought “sandbars” are bars (that cater to party people who enjoy alcohol). But when we got to the place, there was nothing around but a bunch of floating cottages, sand and water! That’s when it hit me…

Sandbars are strips of sand in the middle of the ocean.

After more than 2 years after her death, I finally got to visit my grandma’s grave.

I’m glad there were no other family members that were with me when I visited. I wanted to go alone. I wanna make it as “private” as possible. However, the people around me made it “less private” than how I wanted it to be. But despite that, I’m still thankful that we found a driver to drive me there so I can have some alone time for an hour.

The town I grew up in no longer holds me the way it used to 10 years ago…

A Year Ago This Week

  • we lost another house bid.
  • it’s weird how I had a gout flare-up and yet my uric acid levels were within range. Perhaps they need to update the research? Or is something else at play?
  • I had a tough time writing even with writing templates!
