Week 17

I felt sad, anxious, and excited at the same time during our last week in the Philippines.

I suppose you can say that for most of the trips/vacations I’ve gone on: it’s always too short regardless of the duration.

As a new chapter closes, a new one opens.

P.S. I’m going back to work soon..but I’ve been off for so long I don’t remember sht!

Cebu Pacific got us all riled up for changing our flights less than 1 day before takeoff!

Why TF would you do that?

Here’s what I think Cebu Pacific would tell me if I raided their customer service guns blazing:

  1. Buddy…it’s a cheap flight. You get what you pay for.
  2. How often does this ever happen to you?…..EXACTLY.
  3. I get it, it sucks, but that’s how we operate our business. If you’re not happy then feel free to go with other airlines.

We had to drive for an hour in the middle of the night to go to the airport and sort our stuff out.

And when we got to their “complaints” office, there was already a log line up of angry and tired passengers who couldn’t understand why their flights were moved.

How many staff is attending to all these customers? ONE!

Sucks to be her. It’s not even her fault. But she’s the one who’s going to absorb all that anger.

Konbinis not only satisfies your hunger but also keeps your pocket full.

I’m still getting used to the lack of English in Tokyo. But man, they are helpful and polite. Makes you wanna poke fun at Filipinos. Here’s also what I noticed:

Japan makes pay attention to the smallest details that make you go, “WOW! That’s cute/efficient/cool.”

A Year Ago This Week

  • lost 2 house bids.
  • puked in the middle of the night.
  • I stopped writing my monthly goals on index cards.
