Week 30

What Happened This Week

Beach

We took Lexi to the beach for the first time. It had to be on a weekday because y’know, COVID is still out there.

This was also a good day for me to forget about work. I’ve been mentally exhausted lately.

OTsĀ

As much as I want to avoid working overtime, I couldn’t do it due to deadlines and my things-to-do will pile up.

To add to this, I also had a day where I had an unstable internet connection (that’s worth 4-hours of work). But I didn’t lose my cool. However, I panicked a little.

Then I started to hate work a little. I have to trade some of my personal time to allow me to catch up. It’s my way of increasing the number of hours I can work.

If I was single, I can probably work for longer hours. But when you have a family, you have to be very creative at managing your schedule such that you don’t abandon your more important responsibility: being a parent to your kid.

Online Business Opportunity

Out of curiosity, I signed up and check out this webinar for creating your own online business. I wondered how the business generates income.

Well, as I suspected, it’s one of those affiliate marketing types of businesses.

My guess is that the group she is in makes money from selling courses (on how to make money online) to beginners.

Truth is, there is so much free information on the internet now that teaches you that.

A Year Ago This Week

  • The article I worked on for hours was rejected by Ascent.
  • I focused on getting permission to do a presentation (on my own) for an insurance product.
  • It’s been a year since I started making money writing. I get about $0.05 a month. LMAO.
