What Happened This Week
It’s been a rough week.
Lexi had a fever for a few days. Got her tested for Covid and goodness, I’m glad it came out negative. She’s better now but still working through the stuffy nose and dry cough.
Now, if I zoom out, it makes sense for her to be sick because it’s been about 1.5 years since the last time she was sick.
This wouldn’t be a big of an issue under normal circumstances.
And when things are not normal, schedules and routines become abnormal. I had to dump my morning routines for a while simply because my daughter needs me more than I need my routine. Meditate? Workout? Journal? Those things can wait.
What happened this week reinforced the idea that my to-do list doesn’t own me.
While everything on my list is important, it’s also worth noting that it is just a guide – not a prescription.
