Week 37

Focusing on your task in an office environment will take some adjustment.

Starting last week, it became mandatory for everyone to show up in the office 3x a week. The first day back felt like a big reunion. There were a lot of dropping by other people’s desks to say hi and all that.

Seeing your coworkers after 3+ years of working from home is nice, however, I found it hard to read because of all the noise in the background.

I finally found another doctor (because the one I previously had already retired).

Anyway, one of the generic things you do in a general check-up is to check your blood pressure. Mine turned out to be high. There’s a high chance the reading was inaccurate. I was almost late for my appointment so I assume that triggered it. But then he asked me to monitor my blood pressure for about 10 days, twice a day.

So far, the average is “high” (between 130 and 140), which means, I need to start taking my health more seriously before relying on meds to keep the stroke and heart attack away.

I was invited to do a podcast with a fellow Night Owl Nation member.

I blocked off 1.5 hours for it but ended up going overtime (we were at it for about 2-hours). I’m so glad I agreed to talk because the host gave me a new way of looking at the relationship my grandma and I had. She made me go, “Oh shit! I never thought of it that way…”

It felt like the therapy session I needed for the longest time..for $0.00!

A Year Ago This Week

  • Everyone at home caught the flu.
  • Sleep had been rough lately because Lexi would interrupt my deep sleep when I snore lol.
  • I made a goal to build the skill to pre-publish 2 articles a week.
