Week 4

What's On My Mind

I’m spending less time on my journal (a record of what I plan to do that day and why I need to do them)…

…but that doesn’t bother me.

This week, I wasn’t even to log in to my journal for two days but that also…did not bother me.

I highly value deadlines especially the ones I set for myself including my start time at work. However, this week, I was inconsistent but that…didn’t bother me…well…not as much.

It seems to me like I’m slowly changing my habits (start time and journaling) as well as the way I value them. The rules I impose on myself can be too restrictive that I’m not helping myself follow through. That reminds of the idea I was really trying to communicate in my Quick 1 post:

Don’t be too rigid.

Adjust accordingly. Do it to fit your current lifestyle.

As a new parent, that means learning how to deal with our daughter’s interruptions.

This was tough at first, but after a while, I became comfortable with it.

When Lexi calls – I answer lol.

A Year Ago This Week

  • I slept on the couch – for things I regret doing.
  • I wrote about “starting over (again)” and…
  • the kind of lessons that stick

Goal Update

Personal Projects

The free video editing app on my computer is not as user-friendly as I thought. It took me a while to figure out how to trim, cut and stitch videos.

But I figured it out.

I attended a training class to further understand the insurance policy I intend to sell.

These classes are pretty long but they are valuable.

Routine

This week I was able to pull off 240 squats and 120 push-ups (in total).

Diet needs a little improvement but I’m gonna focus on that later.

Less time on journaling.

The current book I’m reading: [Extreme Ownership] – due to my involvement with high-level projects.

Finance

No updates here.

The ad to sublet our apartment is still up. *sigh*

But whatever I’m currently doing right now indirectly affects my ability to make money:

  • Exercise for 10-min ~ to increase my energy capacity to allow me to do more.
  • Meditate for 10-min ~ to increase focus and help me deal with overwhelming demands at work.
  • Read a chapter ~ to give me ideas or inspiration to continue my journey on personal development and to achieve my goals this year.
  • Journal for 10-min ~ to reflect on my actions and to keep me accountable with following through this year’s goal.

You’ll notice that none of these things make money but it helps me increase my potential of making more money. How?

The more effective you are at helping others, the more valuable you are to everyone.

Your value (to others) is directly correlated to your income.
