It was refreshing to catch up with family members and talk about art.

The flash of money influences the quality of your work. The same can be said for deadlines, or whatever goals or metrics you set for yourself that create unwanted pressure to produce art…as well as commissioned work.

The more “external” forces you let in to influence your art, the less it becomes a form of self-expression.

My posts [Instagram] and [Medium] this week gained more reaction than usual.

Did I hit on a nerve? Was it because it’s more controversial? Was it because I made a confession? What was it?!

The answer to that question leads me closer to understanding my writing voice.
