Week 49

This week there were drops of blood in my poop.

Wait wait, before you say it’s normal and shit like that you need to know the context behind it. First, it’s abnormal. When something is something unusual, you don’t accept it as if it’s a normal event. It needs to happen to you a few times first before it becomes “normal”. Anything new or unfamiliar is scary. So obviously I freaked out.

Whenever  I see blood coming out of my body, I freak out.

So I went to see the doctor the next day.

I felt a little “violated” when she did her exam. I mean, again, what she did was new to me and just the fact that I have to undress already made me feel uncomfortable. I felt vulnerable. Anything you do to me from that point on feels like you’re doing it without my consent (if you know what I mean LOL).

Anyway, she says I’m fine. No trace of blood or anything like that. Whatever happened was simply a random event.

*sigh* This year, I’ve had a few bleeding incidents that make me think about life and death. This means I’m getting really old…shit.

I was given free access to a workshop that costs $40.

Yes, I’m a cheapo who loves free access to information/education. It was by Jay Clouse of Creative Elements. I listen to a lot of marketing and online audience-building types of podcasts.

Anyway, I’m hoping the info I learn there can increase my audience on Medium.

Have you read any of my articles yet?

I would love to know what you think of them. I write about my random insights of being a father and an employee who strives to make money as a creator (on the side). That sounds like a mouthful, which is why it’s best if you read what I write and tell me if my assessment of my own work is spot on 🙂

On Medium, I write in a tone, similar to how I talk to everyone.

But on IG, well well, I’m currently ghostwriting for my cousin’s bakery account. I love how I get to show off a side of me I doubt people know. How I talk there is how I talk in my head whenever I feel like being funny lol.

I’m also working in the background to create carousels of my previous blogs – I’m curious to see if that gets more traction than my artwork.

A Year Ago This Week

  • It’s that time of the year when I need to assess how I’ve grown this year.
  • I read Grit.
  • I had a goal of reaching 100 followers on Medium. As of today, I have 295 (almost tripled!). Slow growth but it is growth. *wink
