Week 22

Gotta love the internet for FREE courses!

A lot of times, “free” isn’t valued because you’re not risking anything other than your time (and your email so the course creator can market to you).

However, for someone who couldn’t afford the program just yet, or just testing the waters, or too stingy to invest — it’s a blessing!

This week I had access to a free course on ghostwriting and improving my communication skills.

Here’s the update on the things I wanted to focus on this year

HEALTH
  • Drink lots of water.
    • FAIL…i keep forgetting.
  • Meditate at least 3x a week.
    • FAIL…i keep getting interrupted by the kids
  • Exercise at least 5-mins every day.
    • MEH…this is on and off
CAREER
  • Learn more about Excel formulas and programming.
    • Purchased a course to get a better understanding of VBA. As of today, I’m able to read some codes that I couldn’t decipher before. The next step is to create a program to increase my productivity when I get back to work.
  • Figure out how to rebrand myself at work (I’m gonna try to move on from being the ‘Electrical Guy’)
    • After a conversation from one of my team members, it doesn’t look like I’m off the hook for being the “Electrical Guy”.
RELATIONSHIP
  • I’ll try to at least contact friends and family once a month — just to say hi.
    • I need to do a better job at this…
  • Maintain presence whenever I’m with any member of my family.
    • I think I’m ok here.
CREATOR JOURNEY
  • Write case studies of the projects I tried and share my insights.
    • I don’t have enough time to do this. I will have to revisit it after 3-months or so. For now, I wanna focus on my career in the Manufacturing Industry.
  • Learn Ship 30 for 30’s Lean Writing Method
    • I’m currently practicing this. I’m able to write at least 2 articles out of 1 main idea.
  • Find a way to get back to MSPainting (Chibis/Fanart and Collage)
    • I’m already struggling to find time to write. Therefore, I decided to stop pursuing this…

I had an itch to organize the basement because I feel like my mind is all over the place again.

I’m not sure what it is about organizing, but somehow it helps me think more clearly.

A Year Ago This Week

  • I’m slowly trying to get back into my usual morning routine. *It looks like I’ve been trying to do this for more than a year now.

  • Learned about Carrd.co as another option to create a one-page website.

  • Finished watching the Loki series on Disney+
